So here we are bracing for Sandy, so if you don’t see blogs from me this week, that will be why.

What kind of news is going on Chez Diana?

• Went to a Halloween Party on Saturday night. SB dressed as Shaun of the Dead, I was the Dread Pirate Roberts. No, I don’t have pictures. I know. Totally slipped my mind. Anyway, the costume was cool, because I was mistaken at least one for an actual man, and less cool. as I was mistaken twice for Zorro. (Zorro has a red sash and a hat, y’all.)
• I am baking. I love fall. I also love that pies are shelf stable. Stupid power outages. Honestly, I think my power company is preparing me so if the power is NOT out for 2 weeks I’ll be overjoyed. It was out for 5 days this summer. I’ve got one extra set of batteries but the stores looked like battery-eating locusts had come through.
• I’m doing NaNoWriMo! Wish me luck! I haven’t even tried it in a year and a half (when it was a total failure) and that kind of output feels like total madness in my post-Q world.
