Three Cool Things

Thing 1: Q (whose name is not actually Quinn, sorry) and I went to see Ally Condie speak at the Bethesda Library last night. She was remarkably well-behaved throughout Ally’s discussion (in which she TOTALLY name-dropped For Darkness Shows the Stars), and the super-long signing line, not least because I bribed her with a blue lollipop. Parent of the year, right here. We even took a picture to commemorate the event — with a copy of Crossed, because it matched Q’s lollipop mouth so well:

More on that copy of CROSSED later. 😉

Thing #2: I’m at Genreality today, discussing Kate Elliot’s blog post on sewing and ways to look at your characters as a whole person.

Thing #3: Tiff at Mostly YA Lit is finishing up her amazing birthday month celebration by doing one last interview with me. This one is filled with writing industry info, hints on what you can expect from ACROSS A STAR-SWEPT SEA, and a few tidbits on what, someday, I will put in the third killer unicorn book.

Enjoy, and see you next week, when the December festivities start….

Mwahahaha.
