New Video Series: Costuming

As I’m getting my costumes ready for DragonCon this year (I’m doing three different costumes this year) I’ve gotten a lot of requests to share some of my strategies for making quick and easy costumes. I know it can seem really intimidating if you go to cons and there are all these pros there with some serious skills but you don’t have to be a professional tailor to get good looking stuff to wear, and you don’t have to spend a fortune, either. I put together many a costume in high school and college that cost less than twenty bucks, so I know it can be done.

Here are the first two videos in the series, covering the inspiration for my first costume, tips on getting cheap material and costume pieces, and tea-dyeing to antique your fabric. More to come soon. Enjoy!
