Someone asked me the other day what questions one should ask before signign with a literary agent, and for the life of me I can’t find that email to respond. I’m so sorry.

Anyway, these should get you started:

1. What do you think is the best thing for this project?

2. Here’s where I see my career going; do you agree? (Especiallyg ood for cross-genre writers).

3. What do you do if this book, knock wood, doesn’t sell?

4. What is the procedure for ending our relationship if it doesn’t work out?

Of course, a lot of these questions you will already have the answer for, and I didn’t even INCLUDE the most obviousl, because i know you already know the answer to this one, otherwise you wouldn’t even have gottent his far with your agent, namely: what else have you sold recently, especially in my genre, and to whom and in what manner?
