Most of you have probably already read this by now:

Foreign Rights: Fiction
Portuguese rights to Diana Peterfreund’s SECRET SOCIETY GIRL, about an Ivy-League college coed’s insight to the world of secret societies as one of their first female members, to Editora Record, in a nice deal, by Whitney Lee of The Fielding Agency, on behalf of The Knight Agency.
Eu sou muito feliz!
In other news, we’ve gotten some excellent feedback from booksellers:
“How refreshing, smart & witty. I did find myself laughing out loud several times & found myself genuinely interested in Amy’s adventures…I was immediately taken into Amy’s world. I identified with her struggles to prioritize her busy college life… I had so much fun with this book & look forward to the series. I am happy to say that I can confidently recommend this book as it releases. It has earned a place on our “Staff Picks” display when it is released in June…Thank you so much for a fun ride with this story. You have a fan here & I will be following the series.”
“It’s wonderful! My God, what a juicy, fascinating and hilarious read!! I recommended it to all the booksellers and everyone who came within earshot and will continue to do so.”
“Bravo! Witty, funny, intelligent, and now I’m hooked and can’t wait for your second in series. Will be pathetically left hanging till Summer 2007. Your writing is stellar, and it’ll be great for [my daughter] to see that successful women writers can exhibit kick-ass vocabulary while still telling a page-turner, laugh-out-loud novel. Well done – I’m a new fan…I absolutely will be doing a Staff Rec to promote your book through Barnes & Noble here in the Portland area.”
and also Booklist, which says:
The exploits of Ivy League secret societies have provided healthy fodder for writers. Peterfreund is the latest to go inside the exclusive clubs, albeit with a romantic twist to her plot. Amy Haskel is a junior at prestigious Eli University, the unassuming editor of the literary magazine and a self-described commitment-phobe. When she’s “tapped” by the most elite and mysterious society on campus, Rose & Grave, life takes a turn for the bizarre. Soon she’s swilling champagne with the sons of senators and CEOs, and keeping secrets from her roommate and her not-quite boyfriend. This is the first in a planned Secret Society Girl series, and Peterfreund leaves some loose ends to entice readers to pick up her next installment. The story is frivolous but fun to read–full of quirky characters and situations. It’s bound to appeal to readers looking for entertaining escape and college humor. — Aleksandra Kostovski
And, for the teen readers:
