Seven Things I Did This Weekend

1. Discussed the outline of SOCIETY2 with my editor. She loves it, and I got off the phone with her just giddy to dive into working on it. Then I promptly fell asleep, worn out by all my giddiness.

2. Attended my first ever baby shower. And it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Just kidding, Marathon Girl, it wasn’t bad at all. Gasp! Does this mean I’m growing up? Uh-oh.

3. Went to a chili cookoff. Our entry was cooked by Sailor Boy. It was great, and would have been better if the people at the cookoff had figured out there you were supposed to put our entry ON TOP of the beans provided. Most of them treated our entry as two different entries, which meant that they wrote on one “not enough beans” and on the other “Dude, where’s the chili?” Morons. Though this is also the same chili cookoff wherein one entrant used a package of “turkey” that had “expired” sometime in September… 2002! No wonder I felt sick all night.

4. Went to brunch with Sailor Boy. Talked about my book

5. Mmm, nap. Sun. Mmmm…

6. Admired my in-process website. You guys are going to love it.

7. Basked in certain bits of advanced praise for my book.

Okay, off to make dinner, get some work done, and do laundry. Catch you on the flipside.
