… is it slips away so quickly! Here we think we have massive amounts of days to just lounge around and… vacate… but that’s not at all the case. Especially since we must *actually* vacate — our apartment that is — at the end of the month.
Plus there’s so much playing with my parents’ puppy to do. It takes hours. Literally hours. I’ve never seen a dog like tug-o-war so much. He will cry if you let go of your end of the stick/ball/frisbee/etc. I’ve also never seen a dog whose favorite method of bone-chewing involves holding onto the bone with both front paws, rolling on his back, and bringing it to his mouth like a popsicle.
I took a picture, but my camera cord is currently in the room where Sailor Boy is sleeping, and he might kill me if I turn on the light in there.
We spent yesterday wandering around the (redacted) countryside, and picked up a bunch of fresh veggies and fruits from a local produce stand, then went to a nearby diner to have a (redacted local specialty). In the evening, my mom and I made a grilled veggie feast for the whole family, with some of the most delicious tomatoes I’ve ever eaten — in this country, at least. (Greek tomatoes are out of this world.)
Today, I may give that motorbike another whirl. And work, of course. This book isn’t writing itself!
